Binta holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Wales and also a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from the University of Sierra Leone.
Binta has worked as a Consultant, Policy Adviser and Government Intervention Lead on DfID funded projects involved in private sector development, including the renewable energy sector in Sierra Leone. She has also worked as a Policy Analyst in the Strategy and Policy Unit at the Office of the Chief of Staff, and has experience in banking and marketing.
As a Facilitator for the Water Working Group she was involved in the Transform Freetown Initiative at the Freetown City Council and since 2017, she runs her own business, delivering marketing and branding advise to SMEs.
Binta also serves as a consultant and trainer for the Sierra Leone Business Women’s Hub which is a collection of various female professionals providing consulting services in various sectors with the aim of contributing towards sustainable economic development of Sierra Leone.
She is a mother to two children and a wife. Binta is passionate about philanthropy, mentorship and writing.
Nallah Cole holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Information Management from the University of Texas, Dallas and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Southern New Hampshire University.
She is also a banking professional with over 15 years’ experience focusing on risk management, compliance, project management and internal auditing. Prior to her move to Sierra Leone a year ago, Nallah worked at Wells Fargo Bank in Charlotte, North Carolina as a Lead Compliance Consultant and as an Audit Leader within the Compliance Group and the Wells Fargo Audit Services Group (WFAS).
These roles primarily focused on assessing risks for different areas within the bank and evaluating the adequacy and effectiveness of policies, procedures, processes, products and internal controls. In addition, she worked to identify issues resulting from internal audits and compliance reviews and consulted with different business units to develop corrective action plans including making value added recommendations to management as needed.
Nallah also served as Vice President and Treasurer for AWOGA Carolinas – a diasporan chapter of the Annie Walsh Old Girls Association and worked tirelessly in raising and sending funds to help current students and teachers at the school.
Since relocating to Sierra Leone a year ago to join her husband, Nallah has worked hard to establish a non-profit organization called ‘Puzzle Pieces SL’ that seeks to help raise awareness about Autism and funds to assist schools in Freetown and Sierra Leone as a whole that support children with Autism.
As one of the founders of Puzzle Pieces SL, Nallah is working passionately to increase Sierra Leoneans’ awareness, understanding, acceptance and support (emotional, mental and financial) for children on the Autism Spectrum.
Nallah is a wife and mother to two beautiful children; one with Autism which was the inspiration for this non-profit organisation.
Additionally, she also has a very strong sense of style and a passion for fashion design and interior decorating.
Ibrahim Cole is a Civil engineer and an entrepreneur with 15 years of experience at home and abroad. Holding a Civil Engineering bachelors and an MBA from The University of North Carolina at Charlotte and Winthrop University respectively, He is a cooperate member of the Sierra Leone Institute of Engineers.
Ibrahim has held several roles in industries ranging from infrastructure development, greenfield energy generation and oil and gas.
As a Sierra Leonean, the decision to return home after his studies was not easy but the drive to make an impact surpassed his fears and hesitation. As the CEO of Leonoil Company Limited. Ibrahim is committed in growing and cultivation local talent for leadership roles as can bee seen with the youthful management team he has put together.
Ibrahim is a husband, father of two and avid sportsman that loves all genres of music. As a father of an Autistic child Ibrahim is passionate about educating and raising awareness about Autism wherever he is.
Dr.Ilara Mahdi is a Development Economist with over ten years experience working with the public sector and bi-lateral donors. She has expertise in public financial management, private sector development and financial sector development. She is also a keen researcher.
She has undergraduate and PhD degrees in Economics and also a Masters in Finance and Economic Development.
She currently works at the Ministry of Finance as the Deputy Director of Budget. Before joining the Ministry mainstream, she worked as a Consultant with the Ministry advising on payroll reforms.
She is a member of the Sierra Leone Business Women Hub and the Women on Boards Network,Sierra Leone.
She is passionate about development and political economy issues. She loves to cook, watch tennis and political affairs programs.
Issa Kamara is a Civil Engineer with over 13 years experience in Construction Engineering/Design and Project Managment.
He holds a BEng Hon and is currently a student with Angelia Ruskin University UK reading an MBA. He is a graduate member of Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE, UK) and a coorperate member of Sierra Leone Institute of Engineers.
He is currently the Operations Director at Centurion Engineering responsible for Designs, Planning and Costing of projects and the management of construction engineering. He has worked on flagship projects both locally (Bumbuna Hydro I, Sierra Rutile Gangama Dredge and Addax Bioethanol Project) and internationally (AU support Programme to Somalia).
Issa Kamara is married with a beautiful daughter. In his spare time he socialises with friends and family. Issa is an ardent Manchester United fan and loves watching them play at every opportunity.
